11. UK TRAVEL HISTORY

This is either easy or super confusing so make sure you pay close attention to this section!

Previous travels is an important part of the visa application, but it is also incredibly frustrating if you have travelled a lot, so be sure to pay close attention.

This section is specifically about any trips that you have taken to the UK in the last ten years. You will need to include all trips to the UK where you left the airport and went through immigration.

If you have been to the UK in the last ten years you will need to say how many times you have visited

  • Zero
  • Once
  • 2-5
  • 6+

For each visit you will need to provide

  • Reason for visit (ie tourism, work, study, transit, other)
  • Date you arrived in the UK (MM/YYYY)
  • Length of visit

If you have been to the UK more than twice in the last 10 years

The visa form only has information for the two most recent trips, so you will need to make a note of every other trip and include it in the additional information section at the end

How important is this section? I don’t really remember that much about my overseas travels

This section is one of the most important parts of the visa application. They will be able to compare trips with your passport info so don’t lie or withhold information or your visa could be denied.
